Spindle Strategy Corp (Spindle) has been engaged by the leadership of Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) Research to support the development of a five-year research and innovation strategic plan. Spindle is a management consulting firm focused on strategy development in the academic sector with a specialization in the life sciences.

Purpose: This survey was developed by Spindle to better understand the research and innovation ecosystem at HHS from the point of view of its diverse members. It will be used to inform the development of a strategic plan that is reflective of its constituents’ vision and perspectives.

Audience: Your insights are very important to us. We invite all types of researchers, administrators, trainees, and research staff at HHS Research to share their candid perspectives.

Use of information and confidentiality: Only Spindle staff will have access to individual responses. In any verbal or written communication about the survey (e.g. presentations and reports), Spindle will share only de-identified, aggregate information. We will also make efforts to ensure that data cannot be combined in a way that may identify any individual.

Length: The survey should take 15 minutes to complete. Some questions invite you to reflect on complex topics such as an institutional vision for research and innovation, research and innovation impact, and emerging trends in research and innovation, which may require more time and focus.

If you have any questions about the strategic planning initiative or the survey, please contact Dr. Tina McDivitt (CEO at Spindle) or Mark Mairs (Manager, Operations and Communications at Spindle).

This survey is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
